On holiday with your Labradoodle: how to keep the coat healthy and your dog happy

A vacation with your Labradoodle is wonderful, but it requires proper preparation – especially when it comes to coat care . A Doodle's unique, non-shedding coat is beautiful, but also prone to tangles, felting , and dirt. With the right products and preparation, you can keep the coat in top condition even while traveling.

Before departure : wash and trim

Just before your vacation, schedule another wash and trim. Ideally, have the coat trimmed a little shorter than usual , but not too short, to prevent sunburn. A clean and fluffy coat tangles much less easily and is easier to maintain during your vacation.

Good preparation prevents stress and ensures a relaxing trip.

Holiday care in 4 steps

Even when traveling, you can easily keep your Doodle's coat healthy with this routine:

1. Blow daily

2. Then use coat spray

3. After swimming or walking : blow dry and check for tangles and ticks.

4. Remove any tangles immediately with the active ingredient and ticks with the tick tweezers

Pay special attention to the armpits, groin, behind the ears and around the harness – this is where tangles are most likely to form.

Don't forget this in hot weather

❗ Never leave your dog in the car
