The "Doodle Basic" Trimming Set (Straight, Curved & Thinning)
Focus: For complete care and a natural look.
Tritra complete grooming set: Everything for a beautiful result
Want to get started on your Doodle's coat yourself, but aren't sure which scissors you really need? I've put together this set just for you! With this trio, you'll have the absolute basics you need to keep your dog neat and tidy from head to tail.
What's in this set?
-
Straight scissors: For clean cutting and larger surfaces.
-
Curved scissors: Essential for those beautiful round shapes of the head, legs and body.
-
Thinning scissors: The scissors to allow the coat to blend beautifully and naturally and to conceal imperfections.
Why this set? Tritra shears are semi-professional: they're lightweight, razor-sharp, and comfortable to hold. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned trimmer, this set will give you the confidence you need.
Your advantage: Order these three scissors as a set and you'll save €10.00! A fun bonus for you and a beautiful coat for your Doodle.
Please note: Just like my Geisha shears, the Tritra sets are non-returnable. This way, you can be sure you'll always receive a brand-new, razor-sharp set that has never touched another coat!
Which scissors do you use where? (The 3-step plan)
Sometimes it can be overwhelming with all those different scissors. Don't worry! This handy guide will help you know exactly which scissors to choose from your new Tritra set:
-
1. Curved Scissors: For the Curves. These are your best friend for anything round. Think of the cute round legs (bear paws), the head , and the curves of the buttocks and chest . The scissors will almost automatically follow the shape of your Doodle!
-
2. Straight scissors: For "tight work." These are used for straight lines. Ideal for finishing the bottom of the legs , shortening the long hair on the legs , or quickly and neatly cutting large sections of the body to the correct length.
-
3. The thinner or chunker: For the 'Finish'
-
Thinning Scissors (from the Basic Set): Use these to smooth away harsh lines. Ideal for transitioning from short to long hair and for naturally thinning the face without revealing a cut.
-
The Chunker (from the Styling Set): Use this if you want to cover more ground quickly but still want to maintain that "woolly" look. Perfect for the body and thick coats where you want to give it a beautiful, soft texture.
-
My tip: Always cut with the grain for the most natural result. Happy trimming!
